Shipping policy

Please contact your local post office for shipping-related questions if you have already received a tracking number. For any other order related questions, please review our FAQ page before contacting us. Thank you ♡


Shipping Insurance:

All orders are insured up to $100 (order value) for lost or damaged packages. You can also have the option to purchase additional shipping insurance coverage if your order value is higher. Insurance may be purchased after an order is placed, but not after the order has shipped.

You must report any issues with your package within the following timeframes. If you do not report issues to us in a timely manner you forfeit insurance coverage.

USA:

If your package has not arrived after 15 days from shipment, please contact us.
Lost or damaged domestic packages must be reported within 60 days.

International:

If your package has not arrived in country after 40 days from shipment, please contact us.
Lost or damaged International packages must be reported within 90 days.

International Tracking:

Tracking information is guaranteed up until the package leaves the USA. Tracking information will continue to update based on the destination country's postal service.

Customs / Import Fees / VAT:

Customer is liable for VAT, added taxes, and import fees. HoneyCarrot.com does not collect VAT. If you would like VAT charges to be collected during checkout, please request a custom order at our Etsy shop. Please note that we are unable to do preorders via Etsy.

HoneyCarrot is NOT responsible for customs fees. HoneyCarrot is NOT liable for customs clearance & service fees as determined by the mail carrier or the destination country's customs officials. Those or any other fees are not a basis for a refund, as they aren't something we're able to control or reliably predict. By making an order the buyer acknowledges the possibility of additional fees upon import and agrees that those fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please note that such service fees for customs clearance vary wildly, and in some cases may surpass the value of the order. Some of these fees can be avoided by handling customs clearance yourself, if that is possible in your country – contact your local customs office if you're unsure. The buyer will be responsible for paying import VAT. 

NOTE: In the United States it is illegal to mark paid merchandise as a “Gift” and/or declare a lower value on paid merchandise on behalf of a customer in order to avoid them from paying customs fees. We are legally required to declare a honest customs value and that value is also determines shipping insurance coverage. Any request asking to violate this policy will be ignored.


Additional Information:

HoneyCarrot LLC is NOT responsible for:

  • Postal shipping delays
  • Any kind of VAT, customs fees, or import fees
  • Lost or damaged packages that are past our shipping insurance coverage timeframe
  • Lost or mis-delivered packages due to incorrect or insufficient shipping address provided
  • Refunds for lost or damaged packages exceeding an insured order amount. Customers have the option to purchase additional shipping insurance as needed.
  • Combining orders shipping to the same address unless the customer makes a request before a tracking number has been generated

Once the package leaves our hands and is in USPS's possession, we no longer have any control over the package. All orders include tracking information, so please use the tracking number to ask your local post office about any shipping-related issues. If an item is returned, we will attempt to contact the customer. HoneyCarrot will not refund shipping for returned packages. If a package is returned to us, we can resend the package if you cover the shipping cost.
